Abstract:

Hijab and chastity are two high values of human society and especially Islamic societies. Hijab and covering originate from inner beliefs and chastity has an inner and sensual state and it is referred to as inner veil. Maintaining this divine obligation is respecting the human values of the individual, respecting the society and protecting against cultural invasion and reducing social damage. Literature is also a full-view mirror of the prevailing thoughts and ideas in the society and reflects tremendous changes in the field of hijab and chastity culture history. A change in the attitude towards this authentic culture, which is rooted in religious beliefs, can have dire consequences for the health of the individual, family and society. The type of covering and chastity in the characters created in the stories of western literature are described and depicted in detail. This article tries to examine the emphasis of religions in the holy books and writers in fictional stories regarding the hijab, and to present the process of the decline of this human characteristic in the customs of the west with regard to the works of the authors with reference to religious and literary texts.
