Examining the role and effects of sacrifice and martyrdom in Islamic society

Today's society needs to expand the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom, sacrifice and martyrdom are among the highest divine concepts and the result of the most sublime values that a human being can acquire. These effective and uplifting concepts can greatly influence the culture of a society and give it the highest blessings. Considering that we live in a society where Islam is prevalent, a religion that is fasting, asceticism, self-sacrifice, and martyrdom, then sacrifice and martyrdom should not be diminished. Therefore, because of the reforming effect it has on society, families, and youth, for example, if there is sacrifice in the family, the family does not fall apart, and also because it is something that is emphasized a lot in the verses and traditions, we are encouraged to participate in it, so we must know it and master its concepts, and sacrifice may have faded in today's society, it must be defended so that it continues in the next generations. The topic of martyrdom is considered finished in the minds of the majority of our people, so in this article, we express the role of punishment and the cultural consequences of sacrifice and martyrdom in the Islamic society and address it.
