Abstract:

The industrial revolution and the rapid growth and expansion of cities, on the one hand, and the invention of the automobile due to the speed and convenience of humans, on the other hand, have led to its significant use in the daily life of city dwellers. Considering that the increase in the use of cars in the cities leads to adverse environmental effects such as climate change, air pollution, noise pollution and ultimately health reduction, the most important effect is the reduction and dimming of people's communication. with urban spaces. In this regard, the current research was conducted with the aim of investigating the development and quality of sidewalks to increase the usefulness of societies and people through the analysis and evaluation of the experiences of successful countries. The results of the research showed that urban spaces, especially in the metropolises of the country, have lost their useful function on the gathering of people and the development of social relations due to the excessive use of cars by people. Therefore, it is necessary to measure and implement urban planning not only with human ownership, but also with the scale of cars or limited transportation.
