The role of aviation in controlling and managing urban traffic and intercity roads

Currently, paying attention to the issue of traffic and determining strategies for its control and management is particularly important. The use of aerial equipment and technologies can play a significant role in controlling and managing urban traffic and intercity roads. The current research was conducted with the aim of explaining the role of air traffic controllers in the control and management of urban traffic and intercity roads.

The current research is in terms of practical purpose; In terms of quantitative methods, it is a descriptive survey. The statistical population of the research was all the managers of the first and second levels of the traffic police, traffic, and air police, and there were 46 people. Due to the limited statistical population, all the employees were selected as a statistical sample using the full-count sampling method. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect data.

It showed that traffic location, traffic monitoring and measurement, public assistance and health management, and observing and describing the traffic situation with the support of aviation, can play a role in controlling and managing urban traffic and intercity roads.

It shows that the Police aviation of Iran can play an effective role in urban and intercity traffic control and management with traffic location, traffic monitoring and measurement, public assistance, health management, and observing and describing the traffic situation.
