Compilation a Model for the Development of Educational Sports of Iran

The purpose of this study was to compilate a model for the development of educational sports in the country. 

The present study is a sequential- exploratory research and is quantitative in terms of data type. The statistical population of the study included all physical education teachers with 10,000 people. In order to collect data, a researcher-made questionnaire was prepared with the opinion and approval of 30 experts, including professors and specialists in sports management, physical education assistants and physical education teachers. This questionnaire had 7 components and 33 questions and was approved before its validity and reliability distribution.

The results showed that the development strategy of educational sports in 7 dimensions including: development of physical education curriculum, quality of physical education curriculum, development of student’s championship sports, development of students public sports, quality improvement of space and sports equipment, development of motor literacy and healthy and active lifestyle. It was evaluated for bonefits of students and for strengthening and empowerment of human resources.

Based on the research results, it can be stated that the development of student sports is a dynamic process and to achieve it and achieve development consequences, stakeholders, strategies, processes and paths of sports development work together. Therefore, policymakers should consider stakeholder strategies, processes, and ways of developing sports when formulating student sports development policies.
