Investigating the Evolution of the Term "Tavern" into a Symbol in Mystical Sonnets (Relying on the Sonnets of Sana'i, Attar, Maulvi, Iraqi and Hafez)
The Sufi term is one of the most important elements of mystical language and mysticism is one of the most complex subjects in human knowledge. This issue arises from the fact that the Sufi language is different from the language of scholars and does not use this term with the intention of clarifying its enlightenment. In this article, the relationship among this term, metaphor, and symbol has been investigated in the realm of tavern literature, relying on the two words ruins and pub. The results of the research show that the mystical term, due to its inherent ambiguity, is always pregnant with metaphor and symbol and therefore needs interpretation. An interpretation in which taste surpasses reason. The information related to the subject of this article has been provided through library studies and has been described with the help of qualitative method after categorization.
