Abstract:

Teachers and leaders in education are committed to the professional ethics and can never shirk their professional responsibilities. The present study is an applied research in terms of its purpose and a correlational research in terms of its implementation. The statistical population of this study includes 280 middle school teachers in Pars Abad city, which was conducted using a simple random sampling method and 162 people were selected as the statistical sample using the Morgan table. The data collection tool was the standard questionnaire on professional teaching ethics by Murray et al. (1996). Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (univariate t-test) were used to analyze the data. The results of the study showed that personality traits, mastery of content, mastery of teaching practice, identification of different aspects of the learner, standard evaluation, and compliance with educational rules by teachers were effective in teaching. The findings of the study showed that professional ethics in teaching among middle school teachers is the expected level of society.
