A Study of Hadiths and Narrations Related to Imams in Nishapur Pottery
Engraving and designs on pottery are to the manifestation of ornamentation part from message conveyor, and culture reporter of their production period. Hadiths are also included in these writings. This descriptive-analytical study attempts to show the inscriptions with the themes of hadiths and narrations attributed to the prophetic household or Imams (AS) on Nishapur pottery. The contents of these inscriptions are either directly the words of the infallible hadith or are derived from the teachings of those hadith. The existence of such themes on pottery indicates the influence of the traditions of infidels and Shiite scholars in the Nishapur region in the 3rd and 4th centuries.
