The investigation of uni- and multivariate methods to recognize the stream sediment data variety from duzal area, northwestern of aras river, based on Siahroud sheet

Abstract:
Due to the long duration of retrieval of funds, the investment in mining includes many important risks. So, for optimum exploration, the exploratory activities must be done systematically and collected data should be interpreted and illustrated by means of new methods such as statistic methods. The main art of the geochemical investigations would be the separation of anomalies from the background. In this stage we must pay attention to all parameters which cause these anomalies because same anomalies have may not relation with mineralization. We must consider the element dispersion pattern in different environments because it could help us to distinguish the real anomalies from false ones. In order to obtain efficient element dispersion pattern, one can use the statistic methods which will be effective in finding the right anomaly areas. It should be noted that statistic, especially classic statistic method, doesn’t consider space distribution of element and also anomalies shape though of their importance.In this paper variate and multivariate statistic methods are used for determination of anomaly of geochemical data of stream sediments in Duzal – Sabalan sheet (1/50000). Totally 168 samples of stream sediments have been collected from this area and have been analyzed for 8 elements such as Cu, Pb, Zn, Zr, Co, Cr, Ni, V. The purpose of this work is preliminary precise and systematic study and detection of areas with high potential in this sheet. According to the results, it merged that the west mapped regions, "along Irichai" is related to a significant deposition of Zn and Zr, and the northeast part "around of village Nojemehr" is an anomaly area for Cu. Therefore, the mentioned mapped regions are recommended for continuing exploratory activities.
