A New Method to Estimate the Global Solar Radiation in Different Climates of Iran
Global solar radiation has many applications in estimating energy consumption in buildings. Although several methods predict solar radiation in various places at the earth's surface based on measured weather data, presenting a method is necessary for exact estimation of the global solar radiation in Iran climates. The daily average global solar radiation has been measured by Irimo for a 14 years period (1992-2005) which was used to obtain a new method of predicting the global solar radiation. Results show that if exact clearness index can be calculated, the new method and the proposed method by Watanabe would be the best option for Iranian climates.
