Letter to the editor: " Stressed milk might result in stressful child" but " Stressful adult"

I read the recent publication “Consumption of stressed milk resulting in stressful child” by Kumar et al. published in recent issue of Irn J Med Hypotheses Ideas with great interest and some thoughts raised. If the idea is valid then chronic exposure to such abnormal levels of cortisol would also lead to defective brain growth and then whole body would overreact to normal levels of stress hormones later in their life [1]. I agree that stressed milk might result in stressful child but the topic to be discussed is whether it can result in stressful adult. There are many facts to be considered. First, the lactating is usually limited within the first year of life; therefore, the chronic exposure might not be valid. Second, the mentioned substance such as hormones can be excreted from the body and it isvery hard to have a very long-term effect. Third, the more importance thing might be the style of child care of the parents that might be the main environmental factor that leads to stressful adult.
