An Investigation About Rural-Urban Migration Determinants In Torghabeh Rural District

Abstract:
The subject of rural-urban migration has been always noticed by different scientists. Since there is low income and unemployment in rural areas of the country, So many rural emigrants go to cities and urban settlements for job and better quality of life. Hence it is necessary that authorities make jobs and employment chances for upgrading of rural income and more development in these areas. This policy causes better life for rural settlements and prevents immigration to urban settlements and many difficulties and problems in cities will have been solved. In this paper rural emigration in Torghabeh rural district located in west of Mashhad metropolis is studied. The methodology of this research is descriptive-Analytic and data gathering is based documentary method and field work. Statistical society is villages located in Torghabeh rural district that based on classified sampling method three villages are selected. The results show there are many determinants but income obtaining and employment are more important among them. Some proposals are presented in the end.
