Study Of Strategies And Intractions Between Islamic Countries For Prevention And Mitigation Of Natural Disasters Damages

Moslem population of the world is 1.5 billion people (2011) that is almost 23 percent of the total world population. Indonesia, Pakistan and India are most populous Islamic countries respectivery and Iran has seventh rank. Islamic countries with 30 million area and more than 1.5 billion people include 25 percent of the world countries. Most of these countries are rich in natural resources and wealth amounts but they can not recognize natural resources potentials and exploitation them because of lack of equipments and high technology. From geographical point of view these countries are located in regions that are confronted with natural disasters. On the whole events such as drought, flood, storm are prevailing climatic phenomena that cause many damages. Based on Islamic instructions it is necessary all of Moslems co-operate against natural disasters and help the victims. Integration and unity between moslems can be achieved in two ways, first one is about risk management that discovers prevention methods such as upgrading public awareness and rural-urban planning and second, measures that are necessary after disaster occurrence that is aid and rescue and services (crisis management) that needs international co-operation between moslem countries, by stablishing special organization.
