Normalization of Occupational Form of Personal Globe Inventory

This research aimed at determining the reliability and validity and normalization of Occupational Form of Personal Globe Inventory (O-PGI) amongst the students of Isfahan University. Subsequent to the translation and addition of brief definitions for each item، a sample of 640 students (M=320، F=319) was randomly selected and responded to the questionnaire. O-PGI was found to show good internal consistency and time stability (Cronbach alpha ranged from 0. 72 to 0. 89، m=0. 81، SD= 0. 05; test-retest ranged from 0. 84 to 0. 94، m=0. 88، SD=0. 03). Moreover، O-PGI was shown to have high convergent construct validity and concurrent validity in relation to Holland educational-vocational interest inventory. Results find support for the structural validity of O-PGI in measuring Holland''s model (m CI=0. 71; fm CI=0. 75; total CI=0. 72; P=0. 016)، Tracey''s model (m: CI=0. 71; CI=0. 76; total CI=0. 78; P=0. 004)، and spherical model (m: CI=0. 55; fm: CI=0. 57; total CI=0. 57; P=0. 001). Results added to the cross-cultural supports for O-PGI reliability and validity and fitness of the spherical model.
