Abstract:
Improper Site Selection of urban land use especially education land use leads to an inconsistency between requirements and provided services by the land use. On one hand the increasing number of students and limited financial resources and lack of planning, lack of suitable land, not using GIS and urban planners on the other, has been caused absence of an optimal side selecting in the most of educational spaces. Purpose of this research is to evaluate site selection of the educatioin centers as well as optimal organization of educational centers through the identification of optimal locations for the construction of new schools in the Ahwaz city. In order to have a proper site selection of the educational centers, we use FMCDM _ GIS procedure that Boolean logic has been used for evaluating the current position of schools and Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchical Process used for optimal site selection of new schools. The research method is a descriptive – analytical which has been used by Boolean logic to evaluate site selection of the current schools. Results of the Boolean model make necessary the organization of training centers in Ahwaz through identification of optimal locations for the establishment of new training centers.Review the current position with Boolean logic shows that 63% of guidance schools have been located in an inappropriate place according to the criteria of site selection. Among districts in Ahwaz, district 2 has the most appropriate and district 3 has the most inappropriate condition in optimal site selection of the educational center. FAHP Hybrid Map shows suitable areas for the construction of new schools in the city of Ahvaz. According to the output map from the combination of the site indicators, the most vulnerable area to establish new centers in each district has been identified. Final result of the study shows capability of the FMCDM _ GIS approach site selection of new centers and organizing present centers.
