The Relationship between New Media (Mobile Phone and Internet) and Social Security (Case Study: 15-30-year-old Citizens of Tabriz)

Background And Objectives
The increasing use of virtual communication tools such as mobile phones and the internet could endanger social security. The present study has focused on the investigation of the relationship between the use of mobile phone and Internet and social security in the age group of 30-15 years old in Tabriz City.Methodology
This study is of a survey method research type and the data were collected via a valid and reliable questionnaire. The research population includes all the 15 to 30-year old individuals in Tabriz. These individuals were 443,687 people based on the census conducted in 2011. Of these, 322 people were selected according to the Cochran formula and stratified randomsampling method. For data analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficient, t-test, and multiple regressions were employed.Findings and Results
The results showed that the social security status among the subjects of the study is on the average level. The multiple regression analysis also showed that the effects of all the variables depending on the media, virtual socialization, the virtual identity and parental control on the social security variable was significant and these variables could explain 30 percent of the variation in the dependent variable.Keywords:
