An Investigation Into Student's Attitude Toward The Characteristics of Successful Teacher In Shiraz University

The study intends to investigate the students’ attitude toward the characteristics of successful teacher in Shiraz University.
The research is a descriptive and survey type. Statistical research population, were all students in Shiraz university in academic year 0f 2010 -2011. A sample of 375 students were selected randomly. Based on the results of the study, the most important characteristics of successful teacher in general, has been her/his teaching ability and lowest related to teaching regulations. There is the same trend in both males and females. The students’ with a GPA of C regarded evaluation as the most important and the lowest related to personal. The students’ with a GPA of B and A regarded teaching ability as the most important and the lowest related to the teaching regulations. Results show sufficient knowledge and scientific mastery establish and strengthen confidence in students.
