Predicting Emotional dysregulation in people with symptoms of borderline personality disorder based on five personality factors in students of Tabriz Branch, Islamic Azad University
this work was to predict emotional dysregulation in people with symptoms of borderline personality disorder based on big five personality factors in students of Tabriz azad University.
The study was descriptive correlational. The study sample was students of Tabriz Azad University in the academic year 94-93 which total of 70 patients were selected by convenience sampling that using borderline personality scale, difficulty in regulating emotions and the five-factor personality questionnaire were evaluated. Research data using SPSS software and Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regressions were analyzed.
The results showed that personality characteristic of neuroticism 46% extraversion53%, openness to experience 36%, agreement42% and conscientiousness41% have ability to predict changes in Emotional dysregulation in people with symptoms of borderline personality disorder.
As a result, it can be concluded that the big five personality factors have high ability to predict Emotional dysregulation in people with symptoms of borderline personality disorder.
