Abstract:

Which of the following staff members might be most attracted to the perverse norms of their work environment? The main question of this follow-up study is that based on the findings of the model of factors affecting the possibility of deviant employees' normalization (including the variables of supervisory level, obedience morale, subcultural pressure, utilitarian ethical thinking according to Kazemi's study, 1396), whether groups differ Are the categorical or demographic variables (age, education, income, and status) affected in the same way by the model identified above? In this practical study, the cross-sectional analysis of secondary data obtained from Kazemi's study (1396) was investigated. The results show that the effect of utilitarian ethical thinking on deviant norms of low-income employees is much higher than other employees. The findings also show that the existence of a subordinate spirit in the organization is much more likely to offend higher educated staff and lead to deviant norms. We also found that younger and less educated people are more affected by subcultural pressure and may be subject to deviant norms. Finally, practical recommendations have been made to managers and authorities regarding the prevention of these impacts.
