The population of this study is all pregnant women who have experienced earthquake crisis. All pregnant women in the field were divided into two groups of 12 in experimental and control groups. The experimental group participated in training sessions. Before and after the sessions, both pre-test and post-test groups were compared and compared with the control group. The research tool was a Family Functioning Questionnaire and Couples Communication Questionnaire which was used in this study. Data were analyzed by covariance method.
The findings showed that the mean scores of the post-test in the experimental group were significantly higher in the communication and family functioning patterns than the control group. In other words, sharing life-cycle treatment with the sharing perspective significantly improved communication patterns (cross constructive subscales, expectation / withdrawal, and mutual avoidance) and family functioning in the posttest stage.
The results of disaster intervention interventions not only help to improve the mental health of survivors but also have a positive role in reducing the physical and psychological problems that are increasing in the post-traumatic period.
