Investigating the effects of urban transportation on citizen stress Case study: Distract 12 of Tehran
Statement of Problem:
This study deals with the issue of transport effects on citizens' stress and has a deductive strategy. Urban transport is one of the most basic sub-sectors of urban development and planning. Citizens are in daily contact with pedestrian and equestrian networks and various types of transportation and use urban transportation to meet a range of needs for work, education, shopping, leisure, etc .; Thus, transportation has become one of the most important parts of the quality of life of citizens. The purpose of this study is to explain and prove the effect of transportation on the stress of citizens in the metropolis of Tehran, especially in the 12th district.
This research has a deductive strategy as well as a quantitative-survey and descriptive-analytical method and data collected by a questionnaire through the statistical population of Tehran's 12th district and citizens who live in this area or have frequent visits. The sampling method was randomized and 360 questionnaires were distributed among them using Cochran's formula to determine it. The paradigm dominates sustainable development research and the sustainable transportation approach.
Based on the collected questionnaire, the findings have been determined which types of transportation have stressful points and how important and proportionate it is, of course, walking is known as a superior option.
Intra-city transportation efficiency does not follow fixed assumptions and the executive model of one city should not be considered as an executive model for other cities. Successful global experiences have shown that the planning and design of inner-city spaces will be successful when, in addition to physical factors, social, cultural, climatic conditions and even the psychological and behavioral patterns of people are considered.
