Investigating the Relationship between Geographical Variables and Spatial Growth of Crime Economy in Border Provinces with Emphasis on Eastern Iran
Once a border area or border line is established, it can affect not only the natural landscape of which it is a part, but also the development and policies of neighboring countries. The border alone has a role, and that is to delimit the boundaries of a region within which a kind of power is exercised. But governments are trying to play other roles in the region, such as immigration, trade, health, and so on. Even the overemphasis on government roles at the border can represent changes in foreign policy. The prosperity and decline of cities and their spheres of influence near the border depend on whether the border line creates new maps for them or, conversely, disrupts their natural sphere. In the study of the theory of delinquent geographical areas, most of the anomic behavior of its criminal type is related to the quality of urban neighborhoods rather than to urbanization itself. In this way, criminal neighborhoods are likely to emerge, which themselves become a repository for the perpetrators' permanent focus. Hence, researchers have shown that some neighborhoods, alleys and buildings have a high concentration of criminals.
