Prediction of Marital Engagement Based on Emotional Intelligence and Attachment Styles through Interprocess Mediation in couples
Marital commitment leads to the sustainability of marital relationship and their quality of life. Therefore, the present study has been conducted to predict marital commitment based on emotional intelligence and attachment style with interpersonal intermediary mediation in couples.
The statistical population of this research was all employees of Hormozgan Steel Company in 1397. According to the study type, which is descriptive and correlational and path analysis, 350 people were selected by random sampling method. Data collection tools in this study were Marital Engagement Questionnaire (MCQ), Emotional Intelligence Scale (EIS), Adult Attachment Style Scale (AAS), and Interpersonal Process Scale (IPS). To analyze the data at the descriptive level, the statistical characteristics such as mean and standard deviation, and the inferential level of Pearson correlation tests, simple and multiple regression analysis were used in a synchronous and path analysis.
The findings of this study showed that emotional intelligence and attachment styles as well as interpersonal processing each directly had predictive power of marital commitment. Also, emotional intelligence and attachment styles were mediated by interprocessing of predictive power of commitment Have a marriage (P <0.05).
Based on the results, it can be stated that marital commitment based on emotional intelligence and attachment style is predictable by interprofessional mediation. Therefore, considering these factors, it is possible to increase the couples' commitment to each other. Finally, they increased their satisfaction with marital life.
