Review of the article of Ali Ibn Abi Talib (AS) from Leiden Encyclopedia of the QuranAli Ghanei:
Abstract Whereas the Leiden Encyclopedia of the Qur'an is a scientific reference for English-speaking scholars to understand Islam and the higher teachings of the Qur’an; it is also necessary to check and determine the validity of its articles; therefore, the present article, by referring to library sources and descriptive-analytical method and observing the principle of fairness and realism, has studied and scientifically criticized the article of Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) from this encyclopedia. the findings of the leading research indicate that the author of this subject - Ali Asani - was not only incapable of a complete and comprehensive introduction of Imam Ali (as), but also due to the lack of reference to numerous and original Shiite sources, he has not stated correctly and accurately some of the virtues of this great Imam. This inaccurate statement, in addition to distorting the truth, has also deprived the audience of this encyclopedia of a correct understanding of the true face of the greatest figure in the Islamic world after the Messenger of God (PBUH).
