Analysis of social and physical factors underlying the participation of bazaars in the continuation of the life of the historical bazaar of Tabriz

Abstract:

The social, economic and cultural functioning of markets has led to the formation of deep links between people and marketers and their broad participation in order to continue the market life cycle. Due to the importance and necessity of studying the areas of attracting market participants, the present study was conducted with the main purpose of investigating the factors affecting market participation in the survival of the historical market of Tabriz. This research is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of research method is descriptive-analytical and survey type as well as correlational and causal research. The statistical population of these active marketers is a total of 5500 people. Using Cochran's formula and simple random method, 359 people were selected as the sample size. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.869.The results of factor analysis model led to a reduction of 25 variables to 10 variables in the form of 4 main factors, namely awareness, satisfaction, trust and sense of belonging (spatial identity), which explained a total of 88.73% of variance changes related to market participation. .Also, the results of regression test showed that the variables of knowledge with the value of 0.598, satisfaction with 0.470, trust with 0.456 and finally the sense of spatial belonging with 0.389 were able to explain 63.5% of the total variance changes related to market participation. Finally, the results showed that the rate of participation in rows, mosques and inns is higher than other market spaces, respectively, so in order to continue the life of the historic market of Tabriz, suggestions have been made to strengthen awareness and recognize and strengthen the feelings of belonging. For example, by introducing the cultural values of this building and also the role and function of this complex in the development of the city of Tabriz, the ground for wide participation of citizens and especially bazaars in its management can be provided. The capacity of line spaces can also be used to guide the participation of other sectors.
