Identifying dimensions, components and patterns of cultural capital of the Police of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Considering the importance of police cultural capital, in the functional environment of the police organization and because of linking other assets of this organization in its missions to achieve the goal, this article has been discussed in this article. The aim of this study was to study the sociological model of police cultural capital.

The present study was conducted in the framework of qualitative approach and the data collection tool was semi-structured interviews. The research population was experts inside and out of the cultural field that purposive sampling was used to select them. To analyze the data obtained from interviews, content analysis of interviews and three processes of implementation, open coding and selective coding were used.

The results of the interviews, which were discussed in four central questions, are as follows: 1- Defining the concept of police cultural capital (1 main category, 14 sub-categories and 60 open codes). 2- Dimensions of police cultural capital (3 main categories, 13 sub-categories and 84 open codes). 3- Components of police cultural capital (8 main categories, 44 sub-categories and 93 open codes). 4- Indicators of police cultural capital (8 main categories, 39 sub-categories and 273 open codes). In the process of coding operations of this study, the sum of main categories (20 categories), sub-categories (110 categories) and open codes (512 codes) were calculated.
