Effect of Education on Parents' Behavioral Intention Regarding the Prevention of Dental Caries on the First Permanent Molars in Preschool Children
The first permanent posterior teeth begin to grow at the age of six. and the Prevent that,s decay have particular importance in oral health. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of education on parentschr('39') behavioral intention To prevent caries of first permanent tooth was performed in preschool children in Sanandaj tooth in preschool children in Sanandaj.
This experimental-intervention study was performed in Sanandaj in 1398. According to statistical calculations, 120 parents of preschool children in the form of Cluster-random, in two groups of intervention (n = 60) and control (n = 60) entered the study. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire whose validity and reliability were confirmed.The education in the intervention group was conducted in absentia. Data were analyzed by SPSS20 statistical software and were analyzed using chi-square and independent t-tests.
Based on the results, no significant difference was observed between demographic variables and structures before the intervention )P>0/0.05(. But following the educational intervention, a significant difference was observed in the mean scores of knowledge, attitude, abstract norms, perceived behavioral control and behavioral intention )P<0 /0.05(.
Implementation educational intervention in the form absentia intention to increase parents about prevention of decay was the first permanent teeth of children.
