Abstract:
Due to their geopolitical position in the Persian Gulf region, Iran and Saudi Arabia are among the most important regional players in Southwest Asia. These two countries have been considered as a kind of regional rival for many years, and this competition has reached its highest level in the present era. On the other hand, the two countries are of strategic and geostrategic importance due to their strategic position in the region. This article tries to study this issue by focusing on the above approach and in a research holism at the strategic level, and finally,The geopolitical and ideological rivalries between Iran and Saudi Arabia in the sensitive regions of Southwest Asia, especially in the Persian Gulf region, and the recent developments in Yemen and the indirect confrontation in Syria, are a manifestation of the prevailing pattern of conflict in the region. considering the promotion of the geopolitical conflict between the two countries to the level of direct threat and possible future confrontations, quality and level Assess the threats of the southern neighbor against Iran's national security over a five-year period. Finally, strategic solutions for the topic are presented.
