The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between self-empathy factors and self-compassion.
This study was a correlational study. The statistical population of this study included all students of Islamic Azad University of Tehran and Garmsar in the academic year of 1998-99.
Regression analysis between self-empathy and selfcompassion factors showed that the regression model is not significant in general and despite the similarities of selfempathy and self-compassion structures, there is no statistically significant relationship between them.
But the factor of attention to the body has a negative and significant relationship with self-compassion and the factor of introspection has a positive and significant relationship with self-compassion and other factors do not have a significant relationship with self-compassion.
