Evaluation and assessment of financial literacy of Guilan Governorate employees
Financial literacy refers to the set of skills and perceptions required to manage monetary resources. Despite the significant importance of financial literacy concepts, this issue has been less explored in domestic researches and education and measuring the level of financial literacy of different segments of society in the country has not been paid much attention. Accordingly, the present research has been designed and carried out with the aim of measuring the financial literacy of Guilan Governorate staff. The statistical population of this study consisted of all official and contract employees of Gilan governorate and subordinate governorates with 819 people that based on Morgan table and using the available sampling method, 265 people were selected as sample members. The data collection tool was the standard questionnaire for measuring financial literacy in Iran, that The data collected through the questionnaire were analyzed using various inferential statistical techniques such as comparison of the mean of one sample and two independent samples, analysis of variance and regression and Duncan test and different results were obtained. Finally, the research results showed that we can mention the relatively low financial literacy of Guilan Governorate staff and the effect of some demographic characteristics such as age and gender on the rate of employees’ financial literacy. It was also found that the rate of employees in different deputies of Guilan Governorate and subordinate governorates is different.
