A Content Analysis of Qualitative Studies on Work-Family Balance of Women and an Investigation into Its Challenges with an Islamic Approach
The present research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the content of qualitative studies on work-family balance of women, and investigating its challenges with an Islamic approach. The population included all the studies with the same subject on the basis of the year of publication, country, methodology, the demographic characteristics of participants, and findings; thus, 49 studies were selected as the sample for analyzing their content. After analyzing the data, 7 main categories related to work-family balance of women were identified as follows: the concept of work-family balance, gender differences, the challenges of women's work, the challenges of work-family balance of women, the effective factors of work-family balance, the strategies of work-family balance, and the consequences of work-family balance. The results showed that none of the qualitative studies entitled work-family balance of women, both national and international studies, was not conducted with an Islamic approach, and they ignored some themes such as religion, Islamic culture, Islamic ethic, Islamic teachings, family stability, and the maintenance of the value of women in providing a model for work-life balance of women.
