The positive relationship of mothers with adolescents 'self-esteem with regard to mothers' religiosity
The present study sought to determine the relationship between mothers' positivity and adolescents' self-esteem with respect to mothers' religiosity.
This research is considered as a basic research in terms of purpose and is a descriptive-correlational research in terms of work method.
The study population in this study includes 4100 people including all mothers and students of public schools for girls and boys in the second secondary school who were studying in Saveh city in the academic year of 96-97.144 men were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling.
The instruments of the present study include the Glock and Stark Religiosity Questionnaire, the Ingram-Winsky Positiveness Questionnaire, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Questionnaire. In the inferential part, Pearson correlation coefficient was used to determine the relationship between variables, and univariate and multivariate regression tests were used to measure the effect of each component on the main variable.
The present study showed that mothers 'religiosity has a moderating role in the relationship between mothers' positivity and adolescents 'self-esteem and has increased adolescents' self-esteem. Adolescents' self-esteem has a positive and significant relationship and there is a positive and significant relationship between mothers' religiosity and mothers' positivity.
