The role of occupational factors affecting the mental health of police personnel
Military forces in response toturbulences and natural disasters are usually the first group which is called. These missions may last a long time, leading to the physical and psychological morbidity. Job’s stress and pressure of these people can affect their physical and mental health. The present study with the aim of determining the role of occupational factors affecting the mental health of the staffs of the police force of Shahrekord County was conducted. The staffs of the police force of Shahrekord County, including 330 people forms the statistical population of research. To determine the sample size with the using of the Korjesi and Morgan table (1970), 190 people were randomly selected as a sample. The research tools including a mental health questionnaire of 28 questions (GHQ) and social factors questionnaire of 27 questions. For statistical analysis the research data’s was analyzed at the descriptive and inferential level, the mental health average of sample was 97/51. The conclusions of the study also showed that there is a meaningful relation between happiness, physical health, social capitals, communicative skills and mental health
