The survey of the relationship between women's clothing and the sense of security in public spaces
There are different perspectives on explaining women's sexual safety and removing their feelings of insecurity in public spaces. Meanwhile, some believe that body coverage can be a factor in reducing sexual harassment and unpleasant experiences of women and increasing their sense of security in public places. This view is consistent with those criminological views that emphasize the role of the victim in sacrificing him. This paper seeks to test the theory of victimization and to answer research questions by studying the extent of women's sexual security in the public space and the role they play in providing security coverage.
For this purpose, the research information was collected through a survey method using a questionnaire and a survey from 300 students of the Persian Gulf University in Bushehr (Year 1395).
Findings show that although body coverage can contribute to reducing sexual intercourse, it does not provide women with a sense of security and this is more related to the structure of gender relations in society.
