Evaluation of the effectiveness of online acceptance and commitment treatment on tolerating the ambiguity and anxiety of death during Corona Virus disease quarantine
The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of online acceptance and commitment therapy on tolerating the ambiguity and anxiety of death during quarantine due to Corona Virus disease. The present research is applied in terms of purpose. The present study was a quasi-experimental research design with a pretest-posttest design. The study population consisted of all individuals who had suffered from psychological problems caused by the disease during the corona pandemic period. The research sample consisted of 30 individuals involved in coronation in West Azerbaijan province who were selected by available sampling method and randomly assigned to the control and experimental groups. Sample members answered Templer (1970) and McLean (1993) Ambiguity Tolerance Anxiety Questionnaire in two stages of pre-test and post-test. The results were analyzed by Spss software version 24. ANKOVA results showed that online acceptance and commitment therapy was effective in tolerating ambiguity (P = 0.000 / F = 67.199) and death anxiety (P = 0.0008 = F.142.902) during the corona pandemic period. Therefore, this treatment can be used to reduce psychological problems in this period.
