Prevalence of Anxiety Disorders in Kerman Families in Corona Crisis and Its Relationship with Demographic Characteristics
Corona virus has caused psychological problems in families. It is necessary to know the variables related to it, especially demographic information. The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of anxiety disorders in families in Kerman during the corona crisis and its relationship with demographic characteristics.Research
The research design was descriptive. The statistical population of the study included all Kermani citizens who had at least one family member with coronary heart disease. From this population, 384 people were selected by simple random sampling method. The research instrument was Corona Alipour Anxiety Questionnaire (1398). Data were analyzed using descriptive and chi-square tests using SPSS_22 statistical software.
The results showed that the percentage of people with coronary heart disease who have moderate to high anxiety in this population in terms of psychological symptoms was 83.07%. Those with physical symptoms of coronary heart disease in this population were 55.98%. There was no significant relationship between the prevalence of anxiety disorders and gender. There was a significant relationship between the prevalence of anxiety disorders and age, marital status, educational background and occupation (P <0.01).
Due to the high prevalence of anxiety disorders during the outbreak of coronary heart disease and its consequences, the implementation of psychological interventions is recommended according to their demographic characteristics.
