The effectiveness of cognitive – behavioral play therapy integrated with Adlerian therapy on behavioral problems of children with generalized anxiety disorder
The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of cognitive – behavioral play therapy integrated with Adlerian therapy on behavioral problems of children aged 6 to 12 years old with generalized anxiety disorder..
this study was conducted as Semiexperimental and statistical population was all reffed to the In order to the golshan consulting center of meybod conduct research, 30 children 6 to 12 year old with pervasive anxiety disorder were randomly selected from the respondents and randomly in two groups that were placed at control groups (15 people) and experiment groups (15people). Participants were screened by Spence 's anxiety letter from the parents ' form . The questionnaire was used in the pre - test and postteststage to determine the behavioral problems and determination of intervention effectiveness . There were 11 treatments for the experiment group, and no treatment was made for the control group. Then,
the hypotheses were investigated using the multivariate statistical analysis test and the amount of effects for total behavioral problems total (0/925), for internal behavioral problems (0/921), and for the internal behavioral problems 0/631 of the structure respectively.
These results suggest that cognitive behavioral play therapy integrated with Adlerian therapy has been effective on the behavioral problems of children with generalized anxiety disorder.
