The Role of Prophets Stories' Intertextuality in the Formation of Hafiz Mystic Language
By studying the relations between texts, 'intertextuality' provides a better understanding of them. Kristeva based the term "intertextuality" on Bakhtin's dialogism that believes in texts conversation and influences on each other. This approach tends to investigate the literal and semantic relationship of a text, as the present text; and one or more other texts as the absent text. Therefore, Hafiz lyrics worth studying based on this approach, and this is because of his poems' dialogism and intertextual relations to both his era texts and pre-Hafiz texts. This paper tends to prove this dialogism and to analyze prophets' stories signs to Hafiz poetry through the lens of intertextuality. Qur'an stories are aesthetically penetrated in his poetry and we cannot consider them just as allusions, because these stories are used in lyrics language structure in terms of intertextual. In fact, by borrowing of Qur'an stories which have historical and referential indications, and replacing of their system and interpretation; Hafiz have converted them into intertextual and symbolic icons and created a new text thus. The method of this research is based on Mikhail Bakhtin's intertextuality school, and also on Julia Kristeva, Gérard Genette, and Roland Barthes perspectives in the field of intertextuality.
