An Introduction to the Philosophical-Educational Thoughts of Jürgen Habermas and Explaining Its Implications for Education (Objectives, Principles and Methods)
The present study with a descriptive-analytical (inferential) approach and using library resources, with the aim of examining and explaining the philosophical-educational ideas of Jürgen Habermas and explaining its implications in education (goals, principles and methods) ) Is accepted. From Habermas\'s ideas, 5 goals, 6 principles and 5 educational methods have been obtained. The inferred educational implications are: Educational goals: critical thinking, increasing problem-solving ability, growth of discourse ethics, creative thinking and creativity, desirable speech action in education. Principles of education: Emphasis on free and reciprocal discussion, participation, understanding and agreement in epistemology, the principle of respect for opposing ideas, emphasis on rationality in education, emphasis on the right of students to comment and emphasis on critical thinking. Educational methods the method of participatory and group activities, the use of interpretive approach, the method of promoting communication skills in students, the method of reasoning in discussion and the method of cultivating critical thinking. These findings indicate the need to review the goals, principles and methods of education in the country\'s education system.
