The principles of measuring the Islamic nature of knowledge in the field of humanities

Any knowledge is based on principles that illuminate all of its components. The integrity of knowledge in the humanities is not exempt from this rule. This article introduces the principles and foundations governing Islamic humanities and presents evidence for their validity. The research was conducted through a library research method and examination of relevant texts and documents, with all relevant texts studied and extracted using a data extraction method. Islam considers five fundamental conditions as the criterion for measuring an individual's Islamic identity, and the researcher has used these conditions as the basis for evaluating Islamic knowledge in a scientific comparison. The principle of unity in the light of priority to God and the Prophet, guidance-seeking in the light of belief in prophecy and the hereafter, justice-seeking in the light of belief in Islamic justice, and acceptance of authority in the light of belief in the leadership of God can be the guiding light for a Muslim researcher to measure Islam in all fields of science, especially Islamic humanities. These principles are derived from the foundations of epistemology, ontology, anthropology, and axiology in Islamic theology and philosophy. Observing these principles in all fields of humanities is considered a condition for Islamic identity in that field of science. Therefore, the condition for Islamic identity is a scientific reality that the fulfillment of each of the five principles mentioned simultaneously can achieve. Each of these principles has a defendable foundational argument that can prove its authenticity in judgment.
