Identifying the methods and tactics of cattle thieves, police challenges and providing preventive solutions

Cattle theft has caused dissatisfaction and losses to their owners since ancient times, statistics show that the occurrence of cattle theft has increased in recent years, and this has put the life of this segment of society in serious danger. Therefore, the current research tries to answer this question: what are the methods and tactics of thieves, the challenges of the police and the solutions to prevent cattle theft by the police?

This research is practical in terms of the goal of general orientation. The statistical population of this research includes experts, managers and police experts in the field of preventive police of the police command of the provinces all over the country. To select the sample, a judgmental purposeful sampling method was used, which is a non-probability method. Semi-structured interview technique was used to collect data. In this method, after conducting 20 interviews, the main and secondary factors were repeated in the previous interviews and the researcher reached saturation. Necessary qualitative data was collected and analyzed using thematic analysis

The implementation of the solutions presented in the prevention of cattle theft is very effective, and the police can appear as an influential organization in line with the wishes of the target community of this research.
