Investigating the effect of organizational transparency on organizational agility with the mediating role of job conflict

Abstract:
Background and Aim

The present study seeks to investigate the effect of organizational transparency on organizational agility in intelligence organizations in Mazandaran province with the mediation of job involvement.

Method

This research is a descriptive-survey that was conducted by field method. The statistical population of the study is the managers and employees of intelligence organizations in Mazandaran province, numbering 260 people, of which 152 people were selected as a sample through Morgan table, which was increased to 158 people for more accurate calculations. The sampling method in this study is random and systematic. To determine the validity of the questionnaires, the content validity method was used and after the judgment of experts, its content was confirmed. Structural validity was also used. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to determine the reliability of the questionnaires. The number 0.89 was obtained for organizational transparency, 0.91 for job involvement and 0.84 for organizational agility and indicates its appropriate reliability. The instruments used are 3 standard questionnaires which are 26 items for organizational transparency, 36 items for agility questionnaire and 10 items for job engagement questionnaire. Descriptive statistical methods, factor analysis and structural equations were used to analyze the data.

Findings and Conclusions

In order to achieve organizational agility among employees, information organizations should institutionalize the increase of organizational transparency in the areas of internal organization; Also pay attention to increasing the job involvement of employees. The results show that the path coefficient between organizational transparency and job involvement is 0.74, the path coefficient between organizational transparency and organizational agility is 0.81 and the path coefficient between job engagement and organizational agility is 0.51, which indicates the effect. The top of the variable affects the dependent variables. Keywords: Organizational Transparency, Organizational Agility, Job Involvement
