Comparative comparison of the relationship between the type of residence and the level of creativity of female elementary school students in villa and apartment examples in Shiraz

Due to their growing age, growing, enhancing and directing children's creativity is very important.The development of creativity must be done from childhood; therefore, it is necessary to examine the factors which contribute to increasing the power of creativity. Residential open spaces contribute a unique role in meeting the social and individual needs of children. These spaces seem to take a major part of the time and environment of the day-to-day life of residents – including children and adolescents – and improving its quality can be effective in health and development of physical forces, strengthening social interaction and teamwork, and even the education and development of children and adolescents. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of rural housing spaces and rooms in the development of children’s creativity. he study population includes 140 girls aged 7 to 9 years old from three primary schools in three different social areas in shiraz, selected based on whether the students lived in houses or apartments. In order to conduct this research, the selected schools were picked up in their selected areas using cluster sampling. The data were collected using the Creative Thinking Test (Torrance B forms) and analyzed through Variance and paired comparisons of averages. The results of the present study indicated that there is no significant difference between the creativity of primary school students in two groups of houses and apartment habitats in both proposed hypotheses. Thus the children living in houses and apartments were almost at the same level of creativity based on the four examined components: initiative, expansion, fluid and flexibility
