Abstract:
Introduction
Cardiac biomarkers play an important role in predicting heart damage. The aim of this study was to investigate The effect of aerobic maximal workload exercises on Galactin-3, plasma Creatine Cinase-MB and lactate dehydrogenase concentration of Iranian Soccer premier league players. Methods
The statistical population consisted of players of the Iranian Football Premier League in the season 1399-1400. 20 football players were selected as available samples. Evaluation of aerobic activity was incremental to maximal with the implementation of the Bruce protocol. Blood samples were taken before, immediately and 24 hours after the end of the protocol. To test the hypotheses and compare the dependent variables in different groups, analysis of variance in repeated measures and Bonferroni test were used to compare between blood sampling steps. Data analysis was performed using SPSS25 software. Results
There was no significant difference in the amount of Galactin-3 between the pre-test and post-test stages and also between the post-test and 24 hours after the test. There was a significant difference in Creatine Kinase-MB and Lactate Dehydrogenase levels between pre-test and post-test stages as well as between pre-test and 24 hours after test. Conclusion
The merobic maximal workload exercises alters serum Galactin-3 levels in Premier League players, possibly due to inflammatory and anti-inflammatory effects during exercise and post-exercise recovery. Also, based on the findings of the present study, increasing aerobic exercise to the maximum caused a significant difference in levels of creatine kinase MB and lactate dehydrogenase in the post-test and 24 hours after the test. Keywords:
