Job and family life challenges of working women in treatment department: a phenomenological study
In 2019, a respiratory virus called Covid 19 was discovered, which caused a crisis and caused a global epidemic. The purpose of this study was a phenomenological study of the challenges of daily life of women working in the medical department in the corona situation to find the problems and challenges of work and personal life of women working in the units or identified treatment departments and planned to address them.
This research is applied in terms of purpose and qualitative research type and it was done with phenomenological strategy. The statistical population of this study is among women working in the treatment department of Tabriz hospitals. A total of 15 semi-structured interviews with open-ended questions were conducted with women working in the treatment department. The sampling method of this study was purposeful.
The findings of the present study indicate that women working in the corona treatment department face challenges and problems that are generally related to the 5 main themes related to family, colleagues, client, and health. Psychology and individual duties and responsibilities are divided into 28 sub-themes.
The result of this research showed that there are many conflicts in the field of work and family for working women, which are aggravated in certain circumstances such as the corona epidemic. Therefore, it is necessary to consider suitable administrative policies and programs in the field of management and helping them to establish a balance between the demands of the work environment and the family.
