Awareness of the nature of language construction, human focus on the nature of human sciences and knowledge and their critique and analysis in the form of Meta Post, Anti, the collapse of metanarratives and the transcendence of established patterns and rules paved the way for the formation of metanarratives as ontological narrative of postmodern man.considering the similarity and homogeneity of the nature of metanarrative, Deconstruction, play, suspension, uncertainty, stability, etc., the present article explores and analyzes three teenager novels of "The Emperor of Words" by Ahmad Akbarpour, "When Moji Was Lost" by Hamid Reza Shahabadi, and " Edson Arantes do Nascimento and His Himalayan Rabbit" by Jamshid Khanian with the life of a teenager who is himself in a threshold position and experiences and lives the mentioned characteristics more and more accurately than any age period. Three teenager novels were reread and analyzed on two levels, meta-narrative frame-breaking at the level of the author and the world of fiction. Relying on revealing the techniques of story writing, author-narrator-character-audience participation, the narrative pattern of narration, three-way dialogue, historiographical and intertextuality meta narrative shows that how these components advance the story in a context of constant uncertainty, suspense, and transformation that leads to endings such as a complete rewriting of the story, the author retreating from his or her intellectual position and author acknowledging his/her disability and helplessness.

The present study aims to investigate the ethical values of the narrative strategies in The God of Small Things, by the Indian author Arundhati Roy. The theoretical framework includes narratology and ethical philosophy and aims to illustrate how the ethics are communicated by narrative techniques and rhetorical devices. On this account, this investigation relies primarily on James Phelan’s narrative theory and Charles Taylor’s philosophy of ethics. Phelan considers the novel’s ethical judgments through ‘ethics of the told’ and ‘ethics of the telling.’ Ethics of the told revolve around the ethical dimensions of the characters' choices and interactions, while ethics of the telling considers text-internal issues and the ethical significance of the narrative techniques. The ethical issues are related to the concept of authenticity and the necessity of recognition. In this regard, Roy becomes the voice for the outcasts who suffer from a lack of necessary recognition to reach their authentic self. The ethics of the told is shown in Roy’s use of micro-narratives which reflect the absence of the ethical issue, besides the linguistic creativities against the monopoly of the standard language. On the other hand, the use of non-linear narration and focalization forms the ethics of the telling, by which the ethical discourse is conveyed to the readers aesthetically. The main question of this research concerns the ways by which the author deepens the ethical judgments of the readers through the narrative strategies.

Greimas, a French theorist, has made great efforts to understand the grammar of narration and the production of meaning, and has finally come up with patterns for defining story, narrative, and meaning. Two examples of these patterns are the grammatical narrative pattern and the grammatical semantic model. In this study, the process of producing meaning in accordance with the narrative style of "Butimar Biashak" written by Mehdi Khatibi, which is a story in children's literature, has been studied. Also, The Theories of transtexual and the elements of text analytics by Gerard Genet , the theory of the famous French philosopher, have also been used in the study of intertextuality, paratextuality, metatextulaity, architextuality, hypertextuality of the story of Butimar Biashak. In the field of comparative criticism, the connection of this story with the works of Iranian mystical literature, including the logic of Attar Neyshabouri, should be understood. At the end of this study, this result was obtained: The story of "Butimar Biashak" written by Mehdi Khatibi, in accordance with the structure of the narrations suggested by Greimas. And it is also proved that the story of Mehdi Khatibi was written under the influence of Iranian mystical literature and inspired by Attar's logic. And traces of ancient literature and mystical genre can be seen in this work. Also, looking at the transcendental elements of the text has played an important role in absorbing and producing meaning.

This paper examines the role of the child as an implied reader in the children narrative fiction. This highlights some crucial questions. First, there are no clear-cut definitions by the theorists for the peculiar kinds of readers. Second, there is no distinguishable difference between the real and implied readers. Third, what are the differences and similarities between real readers and narrative audiences or at best, narratees? Forth, if the implied reader remains a concept in the mind of the real author, is it necessary to be taken into account at all? Fifth, does the real author just deal with one reader to make out of it an ideal picture in the mind? Sixth and not the least, due to such challenges, how is it possible to talk about the concept of the child as an implied reader? This paper aims to redefine and conceptualize the concept of the implied reader in the children narrative fiction, giving a new, much more complete version of that concept through modifying the narrative communicative model, and finally adding the child-implied reader as a new necessary component to that model. This said, the child-implied reader has rarely been taken into consideration in the concurrent literature especially in Iran, though it may help to pave the way for both writing and criticizing children literature

A meta-story is a story that consciously and systematically draws the reader's attention to the artificiality of the story in order to raise ontological questions about the world of the text and the world outside the text. in order to achieve his goals, the author of the meta-story challenges the concepts of traditional fiction such as text, narrative, framework, conclusion and history, and by doing so, he wants to instill in the reader the fact that what he reads is nothing but the language and craft of fiction. get the truth wrong. to achieve this, the storyteller uses techniques such as the author's entry into the story, intertextuality, artificialization of the story world, alienation, extreme use of storytelling techniques, unusual use of punctuation marks and multiple narratives. the play "Ibn al-Rumi fi Muduni al-Safih" (1975 AD) by Abd al-Karim Burshid (1943 AD) is one of the new and modern plays of Arabic literature that can be considered as a meta-story due to its special narrative structure. relying on a descriptive-analytical method, in addition to examining the scope of metanarratives in the play, the present study seeks to examine the historical narrative discourse of Ibn Rumi in which the author rewrites historical events in a postmodern manner. In this play, Burshid tries to create an amalgam of history, narration, memory and free association in this text. with the help of these arrangements, he dissects the real events of Ibn Rumi's life and presents them in a transformed form

Without bringing the reasons Borzooyeh chose a series of stories among Indian literature that formed the base of the work which was later expanded by other writers and eventually it became Kelile & Demne. On the contrary to the common belief there’s no book named Kelile & Demne in Indian literature and the selection of the stories, title selection, quality of compilation and how the stories were connected and interwoven, is actually done by Borzooyeh. So based on what criteria did Borzooyeh choose the stories and why did he choose such title for his book?It seems that the author’s selection weren’t by coincidence and the stories were chosen for specific purposes. Borzooyeh’s social level had played a key role in these selections. Discovering the standards for selecting the stories and understanding the reasons for choosing a title not only drastically changes the reading of the text, but also shows some other complicated issues pertaining to their interaction with the creation of the literary work and with the elite

One of the most prominent mythological themes is the concept of immortality, which has entered the structure of modern stories, especially novels, as a masterplot. In Indo-Persian mythology, the story of Yame / Jam is based on the mythical theme. The Yame / Jam narrative is based on the semantic squares of "death", "life", "no death" and "no life". In study, based on the hypothesis that the death / life superstar in contemporary Persian novels is systematized based on their intertextual relationship with the myth of Jam / Yameh, first the semantic square of death / life of each novel is presented and then its intertextual relationship with the myth of Jam / Yameh has been studied based on the theory of intertextuality and discourse systems. The result of the study shows that according to the myth of Yameh / Jam, two types of confrontation with death in action, state and existence are the human subjects of contemporary Persian novels. Hence, some characters in novels such as Suvshun, Hirani, Salmargi, such as Yameh, surrender to death by passing from activism to Moderable, and achieve eternal life in a sensory-perceptual system by perceiving the joy of death. But some other subjects of the novel Kingdom, Blood Fortune-telling, and Keydr, like Jam, with an anti-death act, strive to reach eternal life, and in the process of state, they experience fear and anxiety, and finally, in the Shushi system, they are subdued to death

The paintings of Sultan Mohammad, a prominent master of the second Tabriz School, are all visually spectacular and praiseworthy. Many studies have examined these paintings in terms of form and execution techniques, from aesthetic perspectives or focusing on mystical aspects, but less about the worldview and depth of Sultan Mohammad's cultural and social point of view. This study tries to interpret the semantic meanings by selecting two works by Sultan Mohammad that also contain illustrations of the demons. The present study has applied the approach of social semiotics to read the social aspects of visual cues. A model based on which composition, color and line, movements, volumes, and icons are used to interpret semantic meanings, as well as social situations and historical conditions outside the text that has been considered. The findings of the research indicate that Sultan Mohammad Tabrizi in his illustrations of two stories in the mythological section of Shahnameh in which demons also has a strong presence has shown the independence of his opinion and through the rejection of suppression the otherness his works have become a sub-narrative; in contrast to the main discourse of cultural unification in that era.

In this study, the movie “Father’s Home” (2010) directed by Kianoosh Ayari will be criticized based on Greimas’ actantial discourse. The main goal of this article is finding Greimas’ intended narrative structures so as to define the extension of signification process in the movie. In this survey, the adopted methodology is discourse analysis through semiotic approach. A movie has a linear narrative sequence and the main element of the narrative is the story of secret murder of a family’s young daughter by her father which represents an image of family violence against Iranian women. The actantial discourse regime of the movie revolves around actions of women in an Iranian family in few generations from 1922 to 1992. These women initiate a disciplined effort in their chains of promise, enforcement and detachment so as to counter the patriarchal culture of the community and achieve their value object as modern human beings. The value object is relative independence and confirmation of female identify and agents of catalysis and stasis in their own turn facilitate or challenge the protagonists’ action. Following the critical analysis of the movie, it was concluded that signification process based on Greimas’ actantial discourse has been well demonstrated in the movie “Father’s Home”. Based on this pattern, confirmation of female identity as a value object was demonstrated in five sequences with different activists, imposers and recipients of actions.

Narrative is an action-oriented structure defined on the basis of a linear system based on material imperfection. The main purpose of such a narrative is to show the acquisition of value based on the movement of agents. However, with the advent of the post-Greimas period in the Paris school, we come to a new aspect of the narrative in which events are not in their original place and therefore cause anxiety, anomaly and mental confusion of agents and readers. It is in this context that the narrative overlaps and, by shifting the elements of action, time and place, the narrative leaves its strong structures. Accordingly, a new era of narrative begins, which we call the post-action and post-deterministic period: these shifts and narrative interactions occur in the heart of the narrative cause disnarrative. Disnarrative leads to encountering a kind of intervention and movement of elements or a kind of surprise in which the narrative is no longer a function of phases and process stages based on the classical pattern. The main question we face is how disnarrative disrupts the narrative process and changes it from a fixed and coded state to an indefinite and turbulent state? According to the post-action approach, the main issue of the article is to see how disnarrative changes the conditions of meaning production. The main purpose of this paper is to study the process of disnarrative with emphasis on elements such as anti-action, anachrony, displacement and dissemantic by focusing on the story of “Shazdeh Ehtejab”.

The contemporary era is the period of centrality of the Unknowable in human life and experience of extreme fear. One of the most important manifestations of this subject is modern fiction. In order to understand modern man more precisely on the one hand and to properly understand modern fiction on the other hand, it seems necessary to analyze how these works are affected by the Unknowable. In this study, by combining Ludwig Binswanger's Daseinanalysis and Roger Fowler's linguistic theory, a model is proposed for comprehensive study of the reflection of the Unknowable in modern fiction. Then, according to it, the story "Picnic" by Abutorab Khosravi, one of the major writers of our time who has a deep look at human being's fears is analyzed. The purpose of this study is to investigate the origins of fear in this story and to analyze the relationship between its form and content and the Unknowable. This study is conducted using content analysis method. It is argued that the narrator/ main character of the story is trying to figure out the Unknowable in the visible environment around him and experience angst in the form of fear of death. He has fallen apart; his tormentors are fragmented pieces of himself. The way narrative components are picked and arranged clearly shows the fragmentation of the narrator. Contradictions, repetitions and ambiguities have removed unity from discourse and text. It could be said that the Unknowable has seeped into form and content shaking them to the roots.

The sequence of events and their time course in the Qur'an is not uniform; Rather, the past, present and future are combined and sometimes changed several times in some suras. This preparation has a high frequency for reasons such as educational functions, learning lessons, answering questions and ambiguities, expressing moral and religious rules, and so on. This article uses a descriptive-analytical method to consider the issue of "order" in the "grammatical time" of Qur'anic narrations and examines the types of flashback and its rhetorical and artistic functions. Return to the past In the narrations of the Qur'an, based on the time of return, it is divided into two categories, long and short, which in the first type is equal to the short time of normal life and in the second type is beyond personal life and related to creation. In terms of structural fit with the "present" of the narrative or description, this element is placed in two areas of co-texture and non-texture. In all contexts, while telling a story, previous events are referred to; But it completes the same story. In the field of non-texture, sometimes in non-narrative and even narrative chapters, events are described that are not part of the narration now and are independent narrations. The leap from the origin of time is also formed in three states: future to past, past to past, and present to past.

The chronotope is the point of intersection of time and space. The point at which place materializes and time consolidates and comes to life. where that all the abstract elements of the drama find physicality and objectivity and are concluded. Dream Report is a play that has many components of chronotopic analysis in a literary work. In this play, time is trapped in the space of a long standing antique shop. It is as if the identities of these people are complete in the work when they are present in this place. The conflict in the story of these three generations is a conflict in the chronotopic realm of the world of this antique shop. Rezaei Rad depicts the history of liberation struggle in the contemporary of Iran in the context of this place, it seems that this place is the only intersection of time and place. It seems that the fate of human beings living in this history over a century depends on this chronotope . This intersection of history with a place in the Dream Report led to our selection for the present work, in which we have examined the importance of time and place and their interaction with each other and the plot through chronotope to explain the concepts desired by the playwright. To achieve this, we will first define the chronotope and enumerate its types, and then we will examine how the play in question in it’s narrative fits into the form of this chronotopic analysis.

The lyrical short story is one of the sub-titles of modern fiction, which the American critic Eileen Baldeshwiler, has described in detail by distinguishing between epic and lyrical narratives. For the lyrical short story, features such as unconventional plot, open ending, symbolism, emotional curve and poetic style was mentioned. The first and second cases can be seen in most modern stories; But the rest are the characteristic features of the lyrical short stories. The present study, which is written by descriptive-analytical method, seeks to examine the distinguishing features of short lyrical narratives in Ghazaleh Alizadeh's story ‘Jazireh’ and to answer the question of how to combine the views of Allen Bald-Schweiler with Greimas. In the field of the aesthetics of presence, did Greimas achieve a clear pattern in defining the boundaries of lyrical short stories? The results show that the elements that make the island story a distinctive work in the form of lyrical short stories, various symbolism, explanation of the emotional curvature of the main characters and writing style are full of literary industries and poetic images. Among these elements, the subject of the emotional transformation and the culmination of this transformation correspond to the semantic system based on the concept and the moment-spark concept that Greimas has dealt with in the aesthetic system of presence, and seems to focus on the narrative system and the moment-spark, will help us to accurately discern the boundaries of the lyrical short story.

Viewpoint is a technique used by the writer or narrator to make his purpose more acceptable to the audience or reader in addition to making its discourse attractive and diverse. Jacques Fontanille, the famous French Sign-semantics, has taken a point of view using theories and approaches of sign semantics and discourse analysis. He categorizes different types of perspectives in terms of the techniques that discourse uses to demonstrate them. These perspectives are: all-encompassing viewpoint, serial or cumulative viewpoint, elective viewpoint, particularize viewpoint, parallel viewpoint, conflicting viewpoint. The present article uses a descriptive-analytical method to analyze these perspectives in the story of Ibrahim Khalil (in narrative verses and related stories in the Qur'an). In fact, wants to answer this question: which perspectives and how in the story of Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH), the full manifestation of monotheism, is used. Findings show that the six types of Jacques Fontanille's Points of view in the relevant verses has been used, based on the purpose and effectiveness and transmission of the desired meaning to the audience. Also, based on his protest and argument against the pagan and polytheistic people and their oppressive king, it is natural that the perspective commensurate with this goal is a conflict-competition viewpoint that has a much more prominent presence in the narrative.

This article compares Aristotle's classical view of Hamartia in the tragic narrative with that of the contemporary theorist of Narrative theory, Joseph Hillis Miller. Considering that both of these theorists have chosen the tragedy of Sophocles's Oedipus the King as a model tragedy for their study, so the case study of the present article is dedicated to the same play. In order to answer its comparative questions, this study first examines the function of narrative in general from Miller's point of view and then examines this function in the subject of Hamartia in the narrative of Oedipus the King. Second, it explores Hamartia in connection with Aristotle's broader philosophical theory, and especially his moral theory. Third, as a result of the above two studies, it studies the similarities and differences between Aristotle and Miller's views on Hamartia in the tragic narrative. Finally, considering the results of the above studies, the question has been answered that from the different point of view of these two ancient and contemporary theorists, What is the use of narrations? The main achievement of this article is that it shows that according to the classical theory, narratives can provide clear and definite answers to the fundamental human questions about how to solve problems in life to present the work of the world, while in poststructuralist theory, narratives can not give such clear and definite answers, and they always owe human beings the repetition of narratives in the course of these answers.
